An amazing country retreat located on the ancient Roman Fosseway in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of Castle Combe -one of the most beautiful villages in England - yet only one and a half hours from central London.The original Georgian Farmhouse and farmbuildings have been expertly converted by the present owner into superb guest accommodation full of character and style providing BandB and delicious dinners - by advance reservation. In 2005 two luxurious self catering cottages were constructed in the grounds using traditional building materials.The property is within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and the Cotswolds and there are wonderful walking and biking trails in the surrounding countryside.The ancient apple orchard supplies the guests with home made cider and Cream Teas are served in the garden throughout the summer months. Open log fires welcome guests on arrival during the winter with traditional English breakfasts cooked on the Aga using local Wiltshire farm produce.

From London: M4 west to junction 17 dir Chippenham. at 4th roundabout turn right on to A420 dir Bristol. After 2 miles turn right on to the B4039 dir Castle Combe Race Circuit.Continue for 3 miles until reaching The Salutation InnPub on the right hand side.Turn left immediately opp the pub - this is The Fosse Way.Continue 1 mile we are the first property on the right. From Bath city center: take A4London Road at 3rd set of traffic lights turn left on to A36 dir M4 motorway.At the first roundabout turn right on to A420 dir Chippenham. After three miles at The Shoe village turn left opp the telephone box on the right .This is The Fosse Way.Continue on this road for 3 miles.We are on the left hand side AFTER the turning to Nettleton village.From Chippenham BR station - taxi to the farmhouse. From Heathrow Airport-train to Chippenham-taxi to the Farmhouse.
